About the Series
What can today's Christians learn from the long history of the church in order to understand their faith in a disconnected, digitized, and divided world?
The Chadwick-Oden Lecture Series was created in honor of Henry Chadwick and Thomas C. Oden and their historical and theological leadership within both the church and the academy. Each year, a leading scholar delivers a pair of lectures exploring the historical and theological roots of Christianity — drawing on ancient, patristic, and early medieval Judeo-Christian thought and expression. These lectures approach the faith not simply as a collection of doctrines, but as a transformative way of life.
The series is supported by Fieldstead and Company (Irvine, California) and hosted by the Premonstratensian (Norbertine) St. Michael's Abbey (Silverado, California). Each year's lectures are published by ICCS Press and made available in our store.
